NPARKS: BISHAN PARK CONNECTOR
I had the opportunity of creating a broadcast piece for NParks as a class assignment, one that was chosen by NParks among the rest of the cohort. It was a truly inspiring project as my team members and I had the chance to work with volunteers and the NParks staff at Bishan Park. We witnessed the sense of volunteerism that the youth has and saw the passion of gardening in them. In this video, a similar level of passion is shown in one of the NParks staff.
More Than Just A Walk In A Park explains the reasons why the Deputy Director for Bishan Park Connector does her job willingly and with compassion. In the video, she shares how meaningful the park really is to her and why she feels that it is important that it is well-taken care for. The video also takes a look at the park's volunteering program and some of it's volunteering work.

The team was given the location of the park and the National Parks' staff by the school. With that, we had to create a promotional video using the information that we could find regarding the park and what was given by the company in their brief. After visualizing the video, we scheduled interview dates for the video to gather our shots and also interviewed the park goers and volunteers for soundbites. From there were the editing process and voice-over recordings that the whole team contributed in.
